Joshua Sankey is an expressively witty stand-up comedian, actor, model, and writer renowned for his lightning-quick creative ad-libs and improvisational swagger. He got his start performing in comedy clubs in Philadelphia and is now based in New York City where his lovable sarcasm has led to numerous roles in TV, film, and commercials.
Sankey landed a part in acclaimed writer/director Kevin Smith’s film Zack and Miri Make a Porno, was chosen as the host for Oscar Mayer’s award-winning The Great American Bacon Barter campaign where he successfully bartered his way from NY to LA with only bacon as his currency, and was selected from thousands of entries as a Top Five NYC finalist for AOL Sports Search.
He has also been seen on Comedy Central, NBC, CBS, ABC, truTV, Onion News Network, ESPN, SNY, A&E, OWN, and Food Network. In addition, Sankey’s charming relatability and mass marketability has been on display in over one hundred commercials including three Super Bowl spots.
Unsurprisingly, he is also a uniquely charismatic model and veteran of numerous successful advertising campaigns and has been featured on six billboards.
Sankey has been fortunate to work with many esteemed visionaries in the creative arts including Larry David, Paul Feig, Bob Balaban, Annie Leibovitz, Tommy Hilfiger, Nick Cannon, Barry Sonnenfeld, Andrew Eccles, and Peter Yang among others.
As he continues to build his comedy career, Sankey is constantly writing jokes and sharing his comedy zeal with audiences nationwide, tirelessly working to stay funny…SO funny!
